President telephones Altaf Hussain, assures to eliminate reservations
President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned MQM leader Altaf Hussain.
President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned MQM leader Altaf Hussain and assured him for eliminating all reservations of MQM regarding the situation of Karachi. After which MQM has postponed its decision of separating from the government. An MQM delegation led by Dr. Farooq Sattar met President Zardari at the Presidency. During this meeting, views were exchanged upon the situation in Karachi and to end aggression among the allies. President Zardari called Altaf Hussain during the meeting and assured him that all the issues will be resolved through mutual understanding and those who have disrupted Karachi’s peace will be dealt with severely. President also confirmed that we would not let any criminal to take shelter of political parties. He also told the delegation to avoid letting miscreant elements join the political parties as they intend to disrupt relationships of political parties. This meeting was attended by Senator Babar Ghauri, Raza Haroon, Dr. Sagheer Ahmar, Rehman Malik and Presidential Spokesperson Farhat Ullah Babar.
