Karachi: 3 terrorists killed in encounter with Rangers, CTD

Three terrorists were killed in exchange of fire with CTD and Rangers in Karachi on Tuesday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least three terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with Rangers and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Karachi on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, Rangers and CTD personnel conducted a joint operation in Kaimkahwani Colony area of Karachi during which terrorists present in the area opened fire. The law enforcement agencies returned the fire due to which three terrorists were killed.

A CTD spokesman informed that two suicide jackets, IEDs, large quantity of explosive material and automatic weapons were recovered from the dead terrorists.

The law enforcement agencies also recovered an eight kilogram bomb, containing ball bearings and explosive material, from the dead terrorists which was diffused by the bomb disposal squad.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the terrorists were planning to carry out terrorist activities in the city.
