(Web Desk) – Christmas was celebrated across Pakistan amid heightened security on Monday.
Services marking Christmas celebrations along with prayers for the prosperity of the country were held in churches across the country. Besides wishes from the President and the Prime Minister, the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa joined the Christian community for their Christmas celebrations in Rawalpindi.
Ahead of Christmas, churches as well as homes were decorated with fairy lights and Christmas trees. Amid the celebration, the mood was also a little somber. With the recent church attack in Quetta, security was beefed up as law enforcement officials patrolled and guarded various churches across the country.
