(Web desk) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday dismissed plea to disqualify Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
Announcing its verdict on the petitions by PMLN’s leader Hanif Abbasi, the SC meanwhile disqualified PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen. While PTI workers celebrated the dismissal of the petition seeking disqualification of Imran Khan, there was also disappointment over Tareen’s disqualification.
The Supreme Court had reserved its verdict on both cases on November 14. The cases were heard by a three-member bench chaired by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar himself.
