MQMP unconerned with contact between Mustafa Kamal and Imran Khan: Farooq Sattar
'There should be a resolute and effective system for accountability'
KARACHI (Dunya News) – MQMP’s Chairman Dr. Farooq Sattar has on Friday said that his party is unconcerned with any contact between Mustafa Kamal and Imran Khan saying that its their personal matter.
Speaking on Supreme Court’s verdict regarding Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen on Friday, MQMP Chairman said that it is important to honor court verdict with regard to qualification or disqualification adding that the matter of qualification and disqualification is itself very subtle.
In his media talk in a local Karachi hotel, Sattar said that Supreme Court’s verdicts are very important and should be held in reverence rather than contempt of court even if people agree with the verdict or not.
The MQMP Chairman asserted on a question that there should be a resolute and effective system for accountability so that the likes of Nawaz Sharif stop asking why they were ousted.
With regard to the question regarding Model Town incident, he stressed that MQMP’s take on the matter is clear that Justice should be served.
