Turbat killings: FIA arrests five agents during raids in different cities

TURBAT (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested at least five agents involved in the killings of 15 men in Turbat.
FIA conducted raids in various cities including Dera Ghazi Khan, Wazirabad, Sambrial and Phalia and apprehended the suspects associated with human smuggling.

At least 15 men, trying to illegally cross the Iranian border to reach Gulf countries, were kidnapped and killed by unidentified men near Buleda valley in Kech District on Wednesday.
According to Turbat Assistant Commissioner, their bullet-riddled bodies were spotted by the locals. All the victims belonged to the Punjab province.
Their collective funeral prayers were offered a day before in Turbat and was attended by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, Balochistan’s minister for home and tribal affairs Sarfaraz Bugti, ministers and other higher authorities.
The bodies were then flown to ancestral towns or villages of the dead through C-130 plane. Bereaved family members broke into tears and wail as they saw the coffins of their beloved. Burial ceremony of the deceased was held in Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Phalia and Wazirabad.
