Lahore: Visually impaired persons end sit-in

Visually impaired persons were protesting against non-provision of job by the government.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Visually impaired persons who had staged a sit-in in front of Press Club against non-provision of employment by the government have ended their protest after successful negotiations with Adviser to CM Punjab on social welfare Tahirul Mulk.
The 21-hour long sit-in caused huge traffic jams around the Press Club and people faced immense problems in reaching their destinations and they had to use alternate routes which were also choked with heavy volumes of traffic.
Visually impaired persons ended their protest after successful negotiations with Tahirul Mulk on Monday night after which they were shifted to hostels.
This was decided that a four-member delegation of blind persons will hold further negotiations with MNA Hamza Shahbaz. The visually impaired persons have threatened to stage sit-in again if their negotiation with Hamza Shahbaz failed to produce any positive result.
