Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted protective bail to former federal minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi till February 21.

Hamid Saeed Kazmi’s lawyer Khurram Latif Khosa appeared before IHC judge Anwar and filed a bail-before-arrest petition of Kazmi. On this, the judge said that IHC can’t accept his plea because it was the right of trial court; however, it has authority to grant protective bail to Kazmi. Later on, the petitioner agreed upon the protective bail. After the hearing, he Khurram told media that Hamid was of the view that FIA had no proofs against him and some hidden-hands were maligning him.
