RAJGAL (Dunya News) – Security forces cleared 110 square kilometers area while a number of terrorist hideouts dismantled as Operation Khyber-IV continued in Rajgal Valley.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the officers have cleared areas of Wucha Wana, Bagh, Ziarat Sereh and Pak Darra.

On the other hand, Pakistan Rangers along with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Punjab Police conducted raids against terrorists and their facilitators in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore and arrested 42 suspects during the last 48 hours.

The apprehended individuals are suspected of providing harboring places to the terrorists in the suburbs of Lahore and Islamabad.

Army had launched Operation Khyber Four earlier this month to check infiltration from Afghanistan.

Afghan ministry had reacted to the operation after it was announced and the reaction was termed unwarranted by the Director General (DG) of ISPR.

ISPR reported that information regarding Operation Khyber Four was shared with Resolute Support Mission twice.

Media cell of the military reiterated that Pakistan Army is desirous of trustworthy security coordination against common enemy. To level accusations is part of agenda of forces which do not wish to see peace in the region.

Rajgal valley had residue of terror after Operation Zarb-e-Azb as the terrain allowed entrances to Afghan militants to carry out attacks in Pakistan.
