The documents imply that usage of the font in 2006 is not something beyond understanding.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Hussain Nawaz on Thursday submitted documents in Supreme Court (SC) pertaining to the Calibri font used on the trust deed between him and Maryam Nawaz.
The documents suggest that the Microsoft’s technical staff started using the font in 2003. It says that Calibri was present in Windows Operating System and MS Office in August 2004.
It is possible that Calibri users were in millions in 2006 and developer gave the font’s source code to Microsoft, says the report.

The matter stirred controversy when the JIT found “significant” disparities in Sharif family’s income and actual wealth but the most interesting evidence from the investigation became the butt of jokes on social media.
According to the JIT report, the documents submitted by the prime minister’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz, were found to be forged. The documents dating back to 2006 were printed in the font ‘Calibri’ which according to the JIT report was not even developed until the year 2007.
While political rivals and commentators have raised serious concerns over the said ‘forgery’, the revelation managed to gain the status of a running joke on social networking websites, including Facebook and Twitter, where Opposition supporters managed to use the incident to mock the ruling Sharif family.
