Canadian High Commissioner Calderwood meets COAS Gen Bajwa to discuss issues of mutual interest

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Canadian High Commissioner (HC) Perry Calderwood called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional security.

Calderwood arrived at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi where he met the Army Chief Gen Bajwa. Both the officials exchanged opinions on security and other matters, according to ISPR.

The Canadian HC not only acknowledged the continuous efforts of Pakistan to ensure peace in the region but also appreciated the role in strengthening the regional stability.

Earlier this week, General Dato’ Sri Zulkiple Bin Haji Kassim, Chief of Malaysian Army, had called on Gen Bajwa at GHQ. They had discussed issues of mutual interest including training, defence and security cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan.
