ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A plea to lodge case against former President Asif Ali Zardari was filed in a local court of Islamabad accusing him of speaking against the armed forces in one of his speeches.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman has been alleged of making a speech against armed forces. The petitioner believes that Zardari had threatened Pakistan Army in his public address.

The local court has approved the petition for hearing.

It should be noted that Zardari s stay in abroad could be extended as doctors have not termed his health condition satisfactory. Sources told he is suffering from diabetes and heart disease. A close aide told he would return home after Eid. His son and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto is overseeing all party matters.
