ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court on Thursday suspended Sindh High Court’s (SHC) decision to ban entrance of heavy traffic in Karachi.
The court accepted all the appeals for hearing which were filed against SHC’s decision.
SC has remarked that SHC’s verdict was against its decision announced in 2007. It said that the ban has suspended business activities in the metropolis.
Ban on movement and mobility is a violation of fundamental rights, added SC. Karachi Port Trust lawyer said that SC had allowed the entry of heavy traffic in from 11pm to 6am but SHC completely prohibited it.
