Intermittent rain to continue in parts of country today, predicts Met office

People have rushed to Murree and other northern areas to enjoy the pleasant weather.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Intermittent rain will continue to lash parts of country including Islamabad, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) today (Monday).

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Rawalakot, Bagh, Neelam Valley and different areas in Azad Kashmir would also witness rain. People have rushed to Murree and other northern areas to enjoy the pleasant weather.



On the other hand, hot weather has been forecast in Sindh whereas the temperature would remain between 34 to 36 degrees in Karachi.



Earlier, rain-related incidents claimed at least eight lives in scattered parts of the country while several others have sustained injuries.

Four people were killed in Nowshera and Jhang due to wall collapse and lightning. Another four people, including women and children, died in Kamoke when roof of a dilapidated house collapsed as a consequent of heavy rainfall.

Land sliding had forced closure of Karakoram Highway in Gilgit, Kohistan and Khunjerab while several vehicles were struck in the said areas.
