Late qawwal's brother told that his family feels insecure following the murder of Amjad Sabri
(Web Desk) – Sufi qawwal Amjad Sabri’s family has reportedly decided to leave Pakistan due to security concerns. Brother of the slain Sufi musicians Azmat Sabri told media that his family felt insecure in the country following Amjad Sabri s murder in Karachi.
He told that that the family had decided to shift to London as they were scared living in Liaquatabad now since the tragic incident. “We have lived for long in Karachi but now we are scared,” he added.

Azmat told that the family was not living comfortably after the murder of Amjad Sabri saying, "it felt as if someone is watching us constantly". The family is also concerned about the safety of late qawwal’s children including three daughters and two sons.
Moreover, the family had requested help and travel expenses from the government as well as from the former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry who visited their home on Sunday. Amjad Sabri’s brother told that the family would leave Pakistan as soon as their visas were issued.
Amjad Sabri was murdered on June 22, last year, in target killing. Thousands of people had paid tribute to the melodious qawwal as the nation felt yet another tremour in the war against terrorism.
