Nawaz Sharif said the nation pays tribute to Gen (retd) Raheel Sharif for his services

(Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday prohibited leaders of the ruling party from giving any controversial statements about General (retd) Raheel Sharif. He said that the entire nation paid tribute to the former Chief of Army Staff for his services.

PM Nawaz took notice of the statements against ex-COAS Raheel Sharif. He advised the leaders of his own party PML-N to avoid passing controversial remarks about the general who lead Operation Zarb-e-Azb to fight terrorism in Pakistan.

Earlier, Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said last week that Nawaz Sharif held all credit for Karachi operation, adding that the former COAS was a common man and normal general, however, credit of the Karachi operation was given to him by the media.
