Patients suffer as YDA continues strike on third day in different cities of Punjab
Young doctors are protesting over trying to arrest their vice-president Dr Atif.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Wednesday has continued strike on third day in different cities of Punjab over trying to arrest vice-president of the association, Dr Atif.
According to details, patients came from far flung areas are suffering as doctors have closed emergency and OPD of the hospital.

However, the doctors have also refused to work at General Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Mayo Hospital and Ganga Ram Hospital.

Meanwhile in Faisalabad, doctors are observing strike and demanded the provincial government to consider their demands.
In Multan, senior doctors have started checking the patients on the place of young doctors.
Earlier on Monday, the emergency ward of the hospital was shut down after a clash between YDA and anti-corruption officials.
According to YDA spokesman, the anti-corruption officials tortured vice-president of the association, Dr Atif, at the emergency ward and tried to take Dr Atif with them.
On the other hand, an anti-corruption department spokesman informed that there are cases against Dr Atif and Dr Salman under Anti-Corruption Act and they went to the hospital to perform their legal duty.
