Rain stops in Lahore, other cities
During 1st to 26th January 2017 rainfall over country has been excessively above normal.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - A three-day spell of rain has stopped in Lahore and some other cities on Friday morning.
Reportedly, 28mm rain was recorded around Allama Iqbal International Airport, 14mm near Punjab University and 12mm rain was recorded in the city area.
On the other hand, thick fog over the Bacha Khan International Airport affected the flight schedule and hundreds of passengers after flights were diverted or cancelled on Friday morning.

According to Met Office, more intermittent rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours.
Intermittent rain may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Temperature recorded on Friday morning in Islamabad was 10°C, Lahore 10°C, Karachi 12°C, Peshawar 08°C, Quetta -2°C, Gilgit 4°C, Murree -5°C and Muzaffarabad 3°C.
Highlighting Pakistan’s rainfall progress, the Met Office reported that rainfall over country has been excessively above normal during 1st to 26th January 2017.

On regional scale during past 26 days, the rainfall amounts have been general in excess across much of the country except Gilgit Baltistan where it has been largely below normal respectively.
