President directs to address reservations of coalition partners
President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the reservations expressed by MQM during its delegations meeting recently with him in Islamabad were being addressed and the policy of reconciliation and taking on board all stake holders will continue as before. He was presiding over the meeting of Sindh Cabinet and MPAs belonging to PPP at Bilawal House. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro, chairperson PPP Women Wing MNA Faryal Talpur, Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme Farzana Raja and Secretary General to President Salman Farooqui were also present on the occasion. President Asif Ali Zardari said on Wednesday that the government would take along all political forces including MQM, ANP and others to resolve the problems being faced by the people. We respect the mandate of all political forces including MQM and we want to resolve issues facing people and work together, said CMs Advisor on Information Ms Sharmila Farooqui quoting President Zardari as saying while briefing newsmen after the meeting. She said the President and the government was adhering to the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and her brave daughter Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto of reconciliation to pursue the agenda of change. Briefing the journalists about the meeting Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that the President also said that PPP legislators and ministers should refrain from issuing hostile statements against coalition partners. He expressed the hope that the misunderstanding between the coalition partners will soon be resolved. Misunderstandings between coalition partners do arise the President said, and added that efforts must be made to remove them and not let them linger to harm the hard earned political stability in any way.
