Inquiry committee completes interrogation in Punjab land scam case
The report will be presented to Chief Justice LHC.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Inquiry committee on Thursday completed its interrogation in Punjab land scam case, biggest in Pakistan’s history.
Dunya News has unearthed the biggest land scandal of 193,000 kanal land on December 1 grabbed through verdicts of fake courts, lawyers, judges and witnesses.
After the revelation, Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Syed Mansoor Ali Shah took notice on the report and ordered an inquiry into it.
Inquiry committee formed an 11-page report after interrogation.
The report suggests that no judicial record regarding the 1,93,000 kanal land exists and the verdicts present are fake and invalid.
The report also reveals that court reader Qaiser Mehmood and copy branch’s Humayun Riaz played role in turning counterfeit judicial verdicts into genuine decisions.
Furthermore, record incharge and officials of DC office were also held responsible.
The report says that departmental action has been initiated against those responsible.
The report will be presented to Chief Justice LHC.
