Zardari plans 'grand alliance' of opposition

Dunya News

PPP will contact significant politicians for inclusion to make opposition's grand alliance

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The ex-President of Pakistan and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has came upon a major agenda to include major opposition parties in a grand alliance, reported Dunya News.

Sources confirm that the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will remain on front foot while the mission will commence just after Asif Ali Zardari reaches Pakistan.

Rather than playing an authoritarian role after comeback, the ex-President will pressurize the government by a joint opposition.

There are media reports of contacts being made by Zardari and PPP with key players of Pakistani politics. The construct of a ‘grand alliance’, as it’s being called, will strengthen as soon as notable names join PPP as a part of Zardari’s initiative.

Zardari will formulate a strategic conduct, meanwhile, the reins will remain in the hands of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. It is reported that public campaigns will be launched against the government in the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto.

Moreover, Zardari will continue to pay foreign visits apart from staying in Pakistan to work out a strategy of opposition alliance. Sources confirm that important names will be contacted by PPP for inclusion.

After December 27, Bilawal Bhutto will pay a visit to Punjab in which crucial names will appear to join the party.
