Pakistan looks forward to work closely with Trump admin: Fatemi
Tariq Fatemi said that Pakistan is looking forward for better relation with new US administration.
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi while briefing the media in Washington on Thursday said that purpose of his current visit was to review Pakistan relations with outgoing Obama administration and to develop close ties with the new US Administration.
Tariq Fatemi informed journalists that he has held very important meetings with Susan Rice, the US National Security Advisor and Mr Tony Blinken, Deputy Secretary of State. He also met Mr Stephen Hadley, former National Security Advisor to President Bush and Mr Sajid Tarrar, Founder of American Muslims for Trump and Senator John McCain, Chairman Senate Armed Services Committee.
Tariq Fatemi said that his current visit provided an opportunity to explain Pakistan point of view to his US counterparts. He said that he has highlighted the sacrifices rendered by the people and armed forces of Pakistan in the war against terrorism during these meetings.
