SHC seeks NAB's reply over including Sharjeel Memon's name in ECL

The court after hearing the arguments has sought reply from NAB in two weeks.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday has sought reply from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over a plea filed against the inclusion of former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon’s name in Exit Control List (ECL).

During the hearing, the judge remarked that Sharjeel Memon has been granted bail by the court and questioned that how ECL is an obstacle in his return to the country.

Memon’s lawyer replied that his client’s name was included in the list on the recommendation of NAB.

The court after hearing the arguments has sought reply from NAB in two weeks.

The plea submitted by the former provincial minister has adopted stance that he has been granted bail by the court in NAB case therefore; there is no justification in including his name in ECL.
