Indian army resorts to unprovoked firing at LoC

The firing from the Indian side continued for four hours.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Indian army on Monday opened unprovoked firing across Line of Control (LoC) in Iftikharabad area.

Pakistani troops gave a befitting response to the Indian firing and silenced their guns.

The firing from the Indian side started at 12:00 am and continued for four hours. No reports of casualities have been confirmed from either of the side.

Similar incident occurred few days back in which Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire at LoC as a result of which two Pakistani soldiers were martyred.

Afterwards, India falsely claimed successful completion of a surgical strike which was later refuted by Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Lt General Asim Saleem Bajwa.

The fresh attack from the rival side came after armed men opened fire on an Indian army camp in occupied Kashmir and killed atleast one trooper.

Numerous violations of LoC have occurred since 2003, when both the neighbouring countries made an agreement to maintain ceasefire at the de facto border.
