Rebranding cross border fire as surgical strike is fabrication of truth, ISPR stated.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan on Thursday rejected India’s claim that its forces carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

"There has been no surgical strike by India, instead there had been cross border fire initiated and conducted by India which is existential phenomenon. As per rules of engagement same was strongly and befittingly responded by Pakistani troops," the ISPR stated.

ISPR termed India‘s claim an ‘illusion‘ to create false effects.

"The notion of surgical strike linked to alleged terrorists bases is an illusion being deliberately generated by India to create false effects. This quest by Indian establishement to create media hype by rebranding cross border fire as surgical strike is fabrication of truth. Pakistan has made it clear that if there is a surgical strike on Pakistani soil, same will be strongly responded,” the ISPR said.

Earlier today, the ISPR stated that Indian forces violated ceasefire agreement along the LoC and martyred two Pakistani soldiers.

The exchange of fire took place in the Bhimber, Hot Spring, Kel and Lipa sectors in Azad Kashmir, and lasted about six hours, the Pakistani military’s press wing said in a statement.

Speaking to Dunya News, DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa expressed regret over action of the Indian forces.

He said Pakistani soldiers are firmly established at the eastern border and are closely monitoring all developments.

DGMO Singh further claimed: “I spoke to the Pak DGMO, shared our concerns and told him that we conducted surgical strikes last night.”

Singh briefed the media after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of his cabinet committee on security after clashes at LoC.

The LoC clashes occurred amid high tensions between the South Asian neighbours after suspected rebels killed 17 Indian soldiers in Uri town of Baramulla District in Occupied Kashmir on September 18.
