Funds embezzlement case: 'You guys didn't even spare Larkana which is PPP's home', says SHC CJ

Additional Advocate General said claimant is black mailing government on the behalf of someone else.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Sajjad Ali Shah on Thursday heard a case pertaining to embezzlement of Rs 90 billion funds against Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) and said that ‘You guys didn’t even spare Larkana which is PPP’s home’.

During the case proceeding, plaintiff told the court that money allocated for development plans was mishandled by various PPP leaders including Faryal Talpur and Ayaz Soomro.

Additional Advocate General Mustafa Mahesar denied the accusations and said that claimant is black mailing government on the behalf of someone else.

He also demanded dismissal of petition against PPP.

SHC CJ remarked that PPP has ruled Sindh for five years and did not spare Larkana from corruption. He said that he has witnessed destructive condition of roads by himself.

Subsequently, the court has sought formal descriptive reply from Sindh government in coming week.
