Nation celebrate Eid-ul-Azha today

Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated across the country with great religious fervor with special prayers for peace, security and sovereignty of Pakistan and the Muslim world, Dunya News reported Wednesday.People will sacrifice animals after offering the Eid prayers, the act of sacrificing domestic animals (cow, goat, sheep, and camel) is meant to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).In Islamabad Major Eid prayer congregation will be held in Faisal mosque while Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, opposition leader Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and other federal ministers will offer Eid prayer in Islamabad while Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif will offer Eid prayer in Lahore.This years Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated on such a moment of history, when a large part of country has seen the devastation caused by floods.
