DUNYA NEWS (News Desk) - Kashmir continues to suffer Indian oppression as curfew is imposed again on the valleys of Kashmir, reported on Wednesday.

Police said 60 people have been dead in the violence, most of them protesters killed by gunshot wounds as government forces fired live ammunition and tear gas to try to enforce a curfew imposed across the Kashmir Valley.

Earlier Tuesday, the curfew was lifted from in Srinagar after 17 days of lockdown but protestors continued to clash with police in the main city of Occupied Kashmir.

Though, mobile and internet networks remained suspended in Srinagar across the restive territory.

Hundreds of angry residents rallied in the city to protest against Indian rule, shouting slogans for freedom and clashing with police who fired tear gas canisters to disperse them, a witness said.

Shops, schools and businesses remained shut in the city while vehicles are off the roads.
