Govt misleading people regarding efforts being made against terrorism, PAT chief says

GLASGOW (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated on Tuesday that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif did not utter a word against his ‘friend’ and Indian counterpart Narendra Modi over the atrocities being committed in Kashmir, reported Dunya News.

While conversing with Dunya News at the Glasgow International Airport before departing for Pakistan after completing his tour of England, Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the country will benefit from the eradication of corruption and terrorism as soon as possible.

He criticised the federal government by stating it was misleading the people regarding the efforts being made to curb terrorism, adding that facts were presented in a distorted shape.

PAT chief said that the government should present the thousands of terrorists it claims to have apprehended before the people.

While discussing about the Model Town incident, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the tragic incident cannot be forgotten as innocent party workers were killed in the tragedy. He demanded for justice and said that the government did not apprehend any police officer involved in the incident which was shameful.
