Model Town incident: PAT asks LHC to suspend 126 officials
Suspension of 126 officials including Punjab IG was requested for transparent inquiry by applicant
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) took the case of Model Town incident to Lahore High Court.
The party submitted an application on Saturday asking the court to suspend 126 officials in Punjab including the Punjab Inspector General (IG). It stated that for transparent inquiry, these alleged officials must be stopped from working.

It also mentioned that those involved in killings have been given rewards instead of punishment by the government.
The applicant suggested that police officials named as suspects should be stopped from working while action should be taken against them.
Earlier, anti-terrorism court declared PM Nawaz Sharif, Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif innocent in Model Town tragedy in which violent clashes occurred between Punjab police and PAT workers.
The tragic incident claimed lives of several workers.
