Sugar crisis to be resolved in 2-3 days, says Gondal
The federal minister for food and agriculture Nazar Muhammad Gondal has requested the provincial governments to act aggressively against the hoarders and the black-marketers. He also assured the nation that the present sugar-crisis would be resolved in 2, 3 days. Answering the questions in the National Assembly, the federal minister lamented that the hoarders hoard the essential commodities just before the religious festivals to earn abnormal profits. He also said that he has constituted a committee on this current crisis and all the four provincial chief ministers would be its members. He told the assembly that Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) would provide 100,000 tons of sugar to the province of Punjab. He hoped that the Punjab government would ensure the sale of sugar at right price.
