Lahore: Protesting nurses split into two groups, one group ends sit-in

Senior nurses ended protest while young nurses refuse to end sit-in till acceptance of their demands
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Nurses sit-in Lahore at The Mall entered 5th day on Friday despite the fact that the protesting nurses split into two groups, Dunya News reported. The protest started on Monday for health allowance and the approval of service structure.
Senior nurses ended their protest on late Thursday night after successful negotiations with Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique.
On the other hand, young nurses have refused the outcome of the negotiations and said that their sit-in will continue till the notification of acceptance of their demands is not issued.
The young nurses have also threatened to shut down emergency ward of the Lahore’s Mayo Hospital.
