CCI meeting chaired by PM Nawaz underway in Islamabad

The council will once again review the issues related to census.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) is in progress in Islamabad with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in the chair.
Chief Ministers of all the four provinces, federal ministers and flood commission authorities are attending the meeting.
The meeting will focus on two-point agenda. The council will once again review the issues related to census whereas National Flood Protection Plan will also be approved.
Before the meeting, all the four provincial chief ministers met PM Nawaz in which they exchanged views on the two-point agenda, developmental projects and situation of the country.
The last CCI meeting held on February 29 decided with consensus to reschedule the census due to commitments of security forces and ongoing operations.
It decided that new dates for the census will be given after consultation with the stakeholders.
The CCI’s agenda also included formulation of National Flood Protection Plan-IV 2015-25 and discussed pumping of drainage effluent, rationalisation of water distribution from Hub dam and early completion of RBOD-III.
