KP to setup six hydroelectric projects in province
It is estimated that the projects will generate approximately 518 MW power.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Thursday has decided to install six hydroelectric projects in the province.
According to details, foreign companies will be invited to setup the hydropower projects in order to achieve affordable electricity from water.
For the completion of these power sector projects, offers will be received from the investors through tenders.
It is estimated that the projects will generate approximately 518 MW power.
KP has the largest part in domestic crude oil production whereas numerous opportunities are also present in the province for hydroelectric projects.
It is pertinent to mention here that atleast 35 percent electricity in the country is produced from water.
