Sindh Minister for Prisons rejects Sattar's allegations

Says routine search operations have been conducted and prisoners are given equal facilities

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Minister for Prisons Anwar Siyal rejected Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar’s allegations on Sunday and said that prisoners have been treated equally and search operations have been conducted on daily basis, reported Dunya News.

Siyal denied the allegations of torture on detainees made by MQM stating that the allegations were baseless. No prisoner has been treated discriminately, he stated. 

He also said that as per jail manual, every prisoner has been treated equally and operations have been conducted on routine basis.
