Islamabad Mayor Ansar Aziz calls on PM Nawaz
PM Nawaz said that federal government will extend all-out support to the Local Government.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Shiekh Ansar Aziz, Mayor of Islamabad, called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at PM House today (Tuesday).
Congratulating the first ever mayor of the capital, the Prime Minister expressed hope that under his leadership the elected representatives of Islamabad will work hard for improving the state of affairs in both the rural and urban parts of the capital.
The Prime Minister said that federal government will extend all-out support to the Local Government to undertake developmental works in the capital for ensuring provision of civic facilities to the rural and urban areas of the capital.
“Being the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad needs special attention and care. The capital was unfortunately neglected in the past, which has caused decay to almost all aspects of the city. We will restore the beauty of Islamabad and enhance the facilities to all residents of the capital,” said the Prime Minister.
Thanking the Prime Minister for his trust and confidence, Shiekh Ansar Aziz said that he, along with the elected representatives of Islamabad, would implement the Prime Minister’s vision of transforming the capital to a truly developed modern city.
