K-Electric tells Sharmila Faruqi on Twitter to turn her TV set off
K-Electric provided uninterrupted electricity during the match, Sharmila asked for some relief
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Faruqi and Karachi’s electricity distribution company K-Electric had an interesting exchange of tweets during the Pakistan-India match in Asia Cup 2016 today.
According to details, K-Electric had decided to provide uninterrupted electric supply to Karachi throughout the match today. As a matter of fact, K-electric did supply uninterrupted electricity during the match but, as the fate would have it, Pakistan batting failed so miserably that the poor fans longed for load shedding, so that they could get some relief from that distressing game.
PPP leader Sharmila felt just like any other cricket fan from Pakistan and tweeted to K-Electric why they weren t load shedding? She said Pakistani needed some relief from the match.
Why aren t you load shedding today @KElectricPk ?? We need some relief from this match

K-Electric pounced on to the opportunity to share a public service message as soon as it was tagged by Sharmila. They advised Sharmila to switch her TV off and conserve some electricity as a result.
@sharmilafaruqi you can also switch off the TV and conserve some electricity.
