PTI, PPP, PML-Q, JI agree to form joint opposition against the ruling PML-N in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – A breakthrough has been struck on Sunday for the formation of a joint opposition front in Punjab Assembly as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP),  Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) and Jamaat Islami (JI) agree to join hands, reported Dunya News.

According to details, PPP, PTI, PML-Q and JI have decided to join hands in order to give some tough time to the government. PTI Chairman Imran Khan, PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have given a go ahead to the parliamentary leaders of their parties in this regard.

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood ur-Rasheed has contacted the parliamentary leaders of the other opposition parties today and the meeting of these leaders has been summoned at 12:30 PM on Monday while the briefing on the decisions of this joint session will be given at 3 PM.

Mehmood ur-Rasheed has said that the joint opposition front is being set up in order to give tough time to the government in Punjab Assembly. He told that all the parliamentary leaders have accepted the invitation for the meeting. He said that the opposition parties will together raise the issues of the people and government’s dictatorial decisions will be resisted.
