Pregnant wife killing: Court sends husband on five-day physical remand
The suspect had confessed earlier of murdering his wife for not allowing him second marriage
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A local court on Saturday sent the husband on five-day physical remand for allegedly killing her pregnant wife.
According to details, the man named Usman was presented before the court.
Investigating officer stated that during investigation the suspect has confessed to killing his wife for not allowing him a second marriage whereas police has also recovered the murder weapon.
Police requested the court to grant physical remand of the suspect in order to catch his companions.
The wife Amna was shot a few days ago when she was going to hospital with her husband Usman.

Usman afterwards told the police that he was stopped by robbers who tried to rob them and during struggle Amna was shot by them.
Pregnant Amna could not sustain the injuries and lost her life but doctors managed to save Amna’s baby who died after two days in ICU.
Police lodged the robbery case on Usman’s request but later arrested him when his statements didn’t match during investigation and finally Usman confessed that he killed his wife for not letting him marry another woman.
Police confirmed the facts by checking his cell phone records and data. Police has also said that a friend of accused Usman is also involved in the crime.
