ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday has said that Sindh government’s slackness in matter of deaths of malnourished children in Tharparkar is shameful and unforgivable.

The PTI chairman said that people in Sindh are forced to consume impure water. Children are dying of consumption of impure water, he added.

Khan said that the provincial government is responsible for the deaths and its slackness if an unforgivable crime. He said that health centres and dispensaries in Tharparkar are dysfunctional.
The death tally is surging owing to lack of proper medical facilities, he added.

The opposition party’s chief said that the Sindh government is indifferent to the fatalities every day. Provincial government’s negligence is inhuman.

Earlier on January 8, the PTI chairman had demanded the government to play a role to ease tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran instead of being a party.

Briefing the media after meeting Saudi and Iranian ambassadors separately, PTI leader said that both countries are blaming each other for the tensions. He said that the government must clear its stance over growing tensions between the two Muslim countries.



Khan said Pakistan must not be a part of anyone else’s proxy war.

He also said that Iran should have been taken in confidence over Saudi’s 34-country alliance against terrorism.

He said the threat of sectarianism will loom over Pakistan if the tensions in the Middle East rise.

He said Prime Minister’s ‘Indian friend’ has blamed Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for Pathankot airbase attack. While criticizing, Nawaz Sharif’s growing terms with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, he said that an enemy is better than such a friend.
