It's not what America stands for, how can this be right in a country like America, asks Chris Cuomo

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Tuesday slammed Republican leader Donald Trump for his racist remarks against Muslims and for his support for Muslim ban proposal. “This is not what America stands for … Just tell me how this can be right in America?” asked Cuomo.

According to details, multi-billionaire Donald Trump has been supporting the Muslim ban proposal in the United States. In the show, Donald said that the Americans must do something about these ‘horrible’ people who want to “do damage to our country”.

Cuomo confronted Trump by saying that all his rivals rejected this notion and even his own party rejected this notion. When Trump said that he didn’t care about what other people said, Cuomo asked him “Who do you care about? Do you have to impress anybody with yourself, with these ideas?”

Responding to this question, Trump said he doesn’t care about what others are saying since “I know what’s right”. Cuomo confronted saying, “How do you know what’s right? How do you know it’s right to exempt an entire class of people; an entire religion? How can this be right?”

However, Donald Trumpt remained adamant with his opinion, saying that he simply believed that there are people out there “they want our buildings to come down, they want our cities to be crushed, they are living within our country and many of them want to come from outside of our country. I am saying that until we figure this out, we should have a ban. It’s very simple”, he said.

Donald Trump had also criticized US President Barack Obama earlier for not acknowledging that the US is at war with radical Islamic terrorism. "We have a President that made a fool out of himself the other night. He doesn t even mention the term. He refuses to use the term. Nobody understands why", he said.
