Afghan slums case: Court remands 11 CDA officials to FIA for three days
The agency had requested the court for a ten-day remand
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Court on Wednesday has remanded six Capital Development Authority (CDA) directors among 11 alleged corrupt officials in Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) custody for three days.
The alleged culprits were presented in civil judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar’s court. At least 11 CDA officials have been accused of assisting land grabbers in Afghan slums. The accused persons include two deputy directors, six directors, assistant director, supervisor and sub-inspector.
The FIA has maintained that CDA officials played a role in establishment of illegal Afghan slums. The FIa authorities have alleged the officers of workshirking.

The agency requested the court to grant ten-day physical remand of the alleged people. However, the court remanded the accused in FIA’s custody for three days.
The court further ordered the authorities to present the accused in next hearing.

Earlier on November 3, it was reported that the federal agency had apprehended six directors in the federal capital.
