ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Wednesday has accepted petition for hearing that challenges operation against illegal slums in Sector I-11.

Bench number one headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Jawwad S Khawaja will hold hearing of the plea today.

A local has filed the petition challenging Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) operation that destroyed Afghanis slums.

Earlier, the department had conducted an operation on orders of Islamabad High Court (IHC). The illegal slums that accommodated Afghan nationals in the federal capital were destroyed.
