Co-chairman PPP says everyone should help the earthquake victims; it was his first visit to Peshawar

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has on Thursday said that PPP shares the grief of earthquake victims. He said that everyone should do whatever they can to help the earthquake victims. “It is my first visit to Peshawar”, said Bilawal, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media at the residence of PPP’s provincial secretary general Humayun Khan, Bilawal said that PPP is with the victims of the earthquake in this hour of trial. He was accompanied by Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Sherry Rehman on this occasion. Bilawal said that PPP always stood at the forefront whenever the nation was hit by a calamity.

Bilawal met senior PPP leaders and workers of People’s Students Federation (PSF) on this occasion and also listened to their grievances.

CM Sindh, while talking to media, said on this occasion that the PPP leaders have visited the place to show solidarity with the earthquake victims. He said that it was a serious earthquake. He said that the federal government’s aid for coping with the problems created by the earthquake is almost nothing.

Earlier, Bilawal also visited Lady Reading Hospital to visit the injured there. Strict measures for security were observed on this occasion. Various entrances into the hospital were blocked with barbed wires for the security and people were barred to enter the hospital, upon which people started raising ‘Go Bilawal Go’ slogans.

Bilawal’s first visit to KP was spent in drawing room while the workers and leaders kept waiting to hear Co-chairman PPP for 4 hours but all they got was a few selfies with their leader. PPP workers kept waiting for Bilawal but the PPP leader locked himself with some senior leaders in the drawing-room after arriving Peshawar. Bilawal kept avoiding media and workers kept waiting for him.

Coming out of the room, Bilawal shook hands with all the workers and made selfies with them. This also caused mismanagement.

Co-chairman PPP prayed for the earthquake victims and left.
