Pakistan rendered invaluable sacrifices in war against terrorism: PM
Secretary Supreme National Security Council of Iran called on PM Nawaz in Islamabad today.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif on Thursdya said that Pakistan has rendered invaluable sacrifices in war against terrorism and Operation Zarb e Azb is yielding very positive and fruitful results.
The Prime Minister gave these remarks during meeting with Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary Supreme National Security Council of Iran, at PM House.
Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
The two sides expressed grief and sorrow with each other over the tragic incidence of Mina in which citizens of both countries passed away.
The Prime Minster said that Pakistan and Iran are brotherly countries and share deep historic and cultural ties. He added that Chabahar and Gawadar ports shall be sister ports and their operational activity shall complement each other.
The Iranian National Security Secretary Mr. Ali said that terrorism has no boundaries and it is a common enemy of both the countries, and a stable Afghanistan is in the best interest of both Iran and Pakistan.
The Secretary Ali said that there is a lot of scope in enhancing economic and communication areas between the countries. He said that Pakistan and Iran shall establish Fibre Optic link between them.
