Neelum-Jehlum project to be built now in Rs. 416bn instead of 277bn
Summary of increase in project cost sent to ECNEC, hydel power plant cost increased by Rs. 138bn
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Neelum-Jehlum power project cost has now been increased from the earlier Rs. 277 billion to Rs. 416 billion and the summary in this regard has on Tuesday been sent to ECNEC, requesting increase of the budget by Rs. 138 billion, reported Dunya News.
According to the sources in Ministry of Water and Power, Neelum-Jehlum power plant had to be completed in Rs. 277 billion but it is impossible now to build it in this cost and thus the budget has been requested to be increased by Rs. 138 billion in this regard.
The cost of the project will now be Rs. 416 billion and the ministry has suggested the amount to be raised from electricity bills.
