Chairman PTI says country being plundered in the name of democracy, army chiefs graph going up
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has on Monday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is making noise over the Nandipur power project because the ‘clandestine deal’ between PPP and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) is over. He said that the country is being plundered in the name of democracy. Imran said that army chief General Raheel Sharif’s graph is on the rise, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference at his residence in Bani Gala, Imran Khan said that the country’s resources are being plundered in the name of democracy. “People are dying of hunger and meetings are being held in Dubai”, said Imran.
Imran further said that army chief’s graph is on the rise while the people are fed up of the government. He said that his party completely supported the army and backed the National Action Plan (NAP) as well.
“The people of Sindh are happy with the operation and the failure of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) call for strike is a proof. He welcomed the end of ‘clandestine deal’ between the PML-N and PPP.
Chairman PTI demanded third party audit of Nandipur power project and also demanded audit of LNG agreements and Metro Bus project. He alleged that there was corruption in other mega projects in Punjab too. “Rangers should also hold an operation in Punjab”, said Imran.
Announcing the ouster of Zia Ullah Afridi from the party, Imran Khan said that Zia Ullah Afridi has always rendered his services for the party but his statements in the assembly are regrettable.
