Pakistani High Commissioner was responding to questions of journalists in a TV programme.

NEW DELHI (Dunya News) - Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi Abdul Basit has on Monday said that solution of Kashmir issue will itself solve many problems between both Pakistan and India.

In an interaction with journalists for a TV programme, the Pakistani envoy responded to their questions in a reasonable and sensible manner.

He said that India and Pakistan should strive to solve their basic differences whereas both the countries would have been living in peace if the Jammu and Kashmir dispute had not existed.

On a question regarding the extradition of Dawood Ibrahim, Abdul Basit replied that India itself is not clear in this matter as the statements are changed now and then.

When asked about the economy of Pakistan, the High Commissioner stated that issues in India have yet not resolved with millions of people living below the poverty line.

Abdul Basit also said that talks regarding hot pursuit and strategic strikes are made in India which is entirely inappropriate.
