MQM challenged delimitations in Karachi, Mirpur Khas; Sattar says delimitation is pre-poll rigging

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has on Saturday challenged the local body delimitations in Karachi and Mirpur Khas in Sindh High Court. MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar says that the delimitations are pre-poll rigging, reported Dunya News.

2 separate applications were filed in the Sindh High Court by Dr. Farooq Sattar through Dr. Farogh Naseem to challenge the delimitations in Karachi’s Malir district and Naukot district of Mirpur Khas. The application says that the government has added some of the Malir areas into Korangi while some Korangi areas have been added into Malir district.

Dr. Sattar said that the government has made a plan of pre-poll rigging through these delimitations and that is why not only the population has been ignored but MQM’s objections have also been neglected.

MQM leader said that the government has made a pre-poll rigging plan by adding rural population into the Naukot district of Mirpur Khas.

Both the petitions seek outlawing of the government’s delimitations and demanded unbiased delimitations.
