PM directs Maleeha Lodhi to make Pakistan's participation in UN activities more meaningful.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed Pakistan s permanent representative to the United Nations, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, to continue to ensure that Pakistan s voice is heard on peace, security and development issues at the UN.

During a meeting in Islamabad, he gave guidelines and advice to Maleeha Lodhi on how to make Pakistan`s participation more meaningful.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan will continue to be in the forefront in all UN activities and debates.

It is pertinent to mention here that Nawaz sharif will address 70th session of UN general assembly in September in which he will highlight Pakistan`s foreign policy and national priorities.

He will also will hold meetings with world leaders and officials from friendly countries.

The government is currently holding consultations about raising at the world forum the issue of Indian interference in Pakistan`s affairs.
